The Secretary-General of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) Mr. Arsenio Dominguez will lead a delegation to the Third United Nations Ocean Conference in Nice, France, from 8 to 13 June 2025. 

The aim is to promote the role of shipping in ocean protection and highlight maritime actions in the areas of: 

  • Tackling underwater noise from ships 
  • Marine plastic pollution 
  • Spreading invasive marine species (biofouling)

Ahead of the UN Ocean Conference, IMO Secretary-General is expected to be a keynote speaker in the Blue Economy and Finance Forum 2025 that will be held from 7 to 8 June 2025 in Monaco, France. Key events at UNOC where IMO Secretary-General will speak:
